Ron Paul Superbowl Ad

Okay... I had this idea ages ago, but nixed it for two reasons: One, I checked the dates and thought that by this time campaigning would be over for us (one way or the other)and two, I didn't think the Ron Paul campaign would be able to afford it. Welp, I was wrong on both counts. This election is FAR from over at this point - I know some are moaning about Iowa, but seriously, our Iowan brethren did damn good... that state should have rejected us outright for no other reason than they are recipients of federal largesse in untold quantities. A 10% showing in Iowa in my book is a serious win. As far as being able to afford it... well, two moneybombs breaking all records pretty much puts that argument to rest...

Anyhow, as far as I can tell, the Superbowl is on Feb 3 and Super (Duper) Tuesday is on Feb 5th. This seems almost too fortuitous. Not only will an ad stay in the public's mind from Super Sunday to Super Tuesday, a CLEVER ad will be talked about on ALL of the major news stations and talk shows and will likely be re-shown on the monday in betweeen, right before voting commences for primaries in more states than ever before in American history. What could be better?

So, whatcha all think? I can do nothing with this, I will be lucky if this actually posts with my crazy connection. I havn't even had the time to connect with my local meetup group since crossing the country (I assume it's Medford - hi!). Besides, I hate football, I'm a hockey guy. I think though, someone should pick this ball up and run with it, before another campaign does. Use the comments here to coordinate and get it off the ground.

It has to be funny, catchy, good... so shouln't come from the campaign itself. ;)

Perhaps the Ron Paul Blimp and Ron Paul Air Corps could do flyby as well at the game (someone put links in comments please!).

Perhaps there's a Reagan - win one for the gipper theme here?

Feb 3rd is the anniversary of Delaware ratifying the Articles of Confederation, the Fifteenth Amendment (voters rights) and the Sixteenth Amendment (income tax) - I'm sure something can be done with one, some or all of those...

NH Debates Quick Thoughts

By some strange 'perfect storm' of weather phenomenon I actually have both TV reception (all 4 channels) and net connectivity tonight (durring a storm!) in my mountain retreat. Not only did I got to see the debates but can also comment on them.

Republicans first...

Get a mop! There's blood on the floor. McCain, Huckabee and Guiliani gave Romney what appeared to be a gang initiation by beating. It looked painful. It makes me think of Reagan's 11th commandment of 'thou shalt not speak ill of fellow republicans'. Perhaps they thought it was okay because Mitt is basically a liberal flip-flopper anyway? I don't know, but it didn't really make any of them look good. What you didn't see of course was Romney's attack ads which prompted this bashing as much as his polling if not more, no doubt. Blowback anyone?

As usual, Ron Paul came across as the smartest guy in the room, though personally I thought he could have done much better. Mostly in articulation but also in assertiveness. His thoughts on foriegn policy were spot on and well said and really quite irrefutable. To boil it down: They hate us because we're fucking with them. It's a pretty simple concept really and backed up by all credible intelligence experts. Somehow though, this idea that even a child can grasp, that if you poke a hornet's nest you'll get stung, was completely beyond the comprehension of all the other Republican candidates. Rudy was the most ignorant of the bunch, claiming that foriegn policy has absolutely nothing to do with terrorism, in fact he said flat out that foreign policy is 'irrelevant, totally irrelevant'. The depths of the man's ignorance is quite astonishing. Of course, he's not alone, the entire non-Paul crowd clamorred about islamofasism, jihadists and a worldwide caliphate. I suppose they also don't understand the concept of overloading the capacity to be afraid with excessive fear mongering either.

Paul also spoke well on the economy, but not so much on healthcare... he sort of blended the two together. He was correct, of course, but I think he could have done himself better with the healthcare question sepparate. Fred Thompson also used this opportunity to take a swipe at Paul (breaking Reagan's 11th just like the rest), unfortunately for him. Unfortunate because Fred didn't have such a bad night and like Paul stayed above the fray for the most part. This one swipe though sort of ruined it for him and I know a lot of paleoconservatives who like both Paul and Thompson who will take this very personally. Also, on a strictly clinical level, if Fred Thompson really didn't understand Paul's explanation of how printing money out of thin air and endless war and nation building prevents us from affording healthcare, then he's really not qualified for the big chair, is he? Back to Paul and healthcare though... This is the second time I've seen him field that question and in neither one did he state the simple fact that he's a medical doctor. Why? This is too humble in my humble opinion. The man is a world class economist, a renowned student of foriegn policy and a medical doctor... he could be called in court to testify as an expert in any of these areas, so throw it out there and let people know.

The run down...

Huckabee was coming off of a media created fake 'surge' that just gave him Iowa and while he got some good licks in on Romney, other than than that seemed like a deer in the headlights and in fact only drew attention to the fact that he's not ready to swim with the sharks or sit at the big table. Prediction: Huck's 'surge' is over, he'll be in single digits for the next two or three states and then drop out.

Romney. He's done. His Wyoming victory has been completely overshadowed and erased. He'll probably run vicious attack ads as a 'rebuttal' but it will do little good. His showing in New Hampshire will be very poor and despite throwing gobs of cash at his campaign he's already seen his high point and has nowhere to go now but down.

Guiliani. Has shown himself to be a complete imbecille on foriegn policy. People were already turning against him for his authoritarian attitude and his overuse of 9/11 scare tactics. His big hope is Florida and when that doesn't come through for him, he'll be done.

McCain. Would have done better if he had said less. He's riding a re-surge, but it won't translate to any money (ask Huckabee) and he'll continue his shoestring campaign to the bitter end. If he weren't so damn wrong on foriegn policy and Iraq, he'd be a shoe in for president. Along with Paul, he's the only Republican that can draw independent and crossover votes in any significant numbers and the math says that you can't win without that. In the end I'd say he has a fair chance of recieving the nomination.

Fred Thompson. He actually said something. In fact, other than what I pointed out above, he didn't make too much of a fool of himself. I think his fans and the media in general will make a big hoopla about this, perhaps even declare him the winner. I guess for him, he did a lot, really though even if he were energetic and charismatic, which he is neither, he would be unelectable on his record alone. It is the mere fact that he's so boring which has kept him from serious media scrutiny all this time and he's the better off for it.

Ron Paul. Could have done better. Could have done worse. Really needs to do something drastic. It seems as though his grassroots army is doing all the heavy lifting here. It's time Paul himself and his paid campaign do something amazing themselves. Give the boots on the ground something to cheer, something to magnify, something to hope. His biggest problem, strangely enough is the democrats. Hillary is losing and it'll be a much harder contest against Edwards or Obama and those two are both stealing the indies as well. Time to get crazy, perhaps offer a hand of friendship in the name of 'Change' bi-partisanly. Prediction: Paul takes 2nd in New Hapshire (though 1st isn't out of the question) and it will be seen as the real begining of something new(as well as the end of old-news punditry).

Democrats...

Hillary's voice is shrill and annoying. Most of what I hear is that they all want to bankrupt the country. They're planning huge and costly 'programs' and an avalanche of taxes to pay for them. Obviously they are all so out of touch with middle America that they don't realize there's a bunch of folks out there living paycheck to paycheck and hand to mouth who are barely making it under the huge tax burden they're already shouldering.

Perhaps they caught the scent of Romney's blood in the water from the previous debate. The attack is on. Hillary, Ice Queen draws first blood but Obama and Edwards circle their wagons and begin a tag-team. Richardson remains out of the fray, mostly recounting his own extensive credentials. In the end, Hillary loses big, though I'm sure her campaign machine and her friendly news outlets will somehow spin it differently. Obama came out even-steven and Edwards definitely won. Richardson seemed to be in a different debate, with only himself and neither won nor lost. The entire debate was very much lessened by the lack of Kucinich, the lone real anti-war candidate on the Democrat side. Too bad, but really he'd been marginalized all along because he serves to highlight the fact that the Dems are really just as pro-war was the Republicans and thus he was messing it up for all of them. On that note, Hillary once again took the opportunity to point out multiple times how different they 'all' were than their Republican counterparts, which would have been humorous if it weren't so sadly false. I can find very little difference between her policy and that of Bush. They are so like, that she seems to be using the same tactic philosophy of - repeat it enough and they'll believe it. "We're totally different", "There are weapons of mass destrution". When will it end?

The run down...

Hillary did terrible. She's far from done however. Her political machine is beyond enormous and reaches into both parties as well as every industry. She'll battle on to the end and will not accept (or be offered?) a vice presidential spot. Ultimately I sincerely hope she loses, but won't predict such a thing, especially since she hasn't even opened her bag of dirty tricks yet.

Obama sort of rode this one out. Not bad, not great. He seems tired. The Hillary machine will find some way to attack him over the debate and he's about to come under super scrutiny from the media anyway. Can he withstand it? Only time will tell.

Edwards wins again. He's good. He actually has a good message for the most part and I'd be backing him if he didn't set my truthiness detector off so much. Alas. He'd be smart to form a coalition now, before things get really dirty. In some way's he's in a better position than Obama because he's already run and been vetted and that could be a bit of a bargaining chip.

Richardson. Really the only remaining Democrat running who is actually qualified to be President. He still hasn't found a way to display his credentials without sounding awkward and self agrandizing. Too bad. He'll make an alliance soon, throw his support and earn a cabinet position... but with whom?

Into the Wilderness

Living not quite off-grid in Oregon.

I finally took the plunge and crossed the country to settle in the mountains of southern Oregon, away from the cities and with some luck with the opportunity to eventually move myself completely off the grid and towards independence. From the state of things in both the country the globally, it appears I made the move none too soon.

The drive from New Jersey was fairly uneventful, about the only thing semi-remarkable was the rather large number of surveillance cameras I noticed along the way. Considering I spent most of my time on the highway, I have to assume I only saw a small fraction of what's really out there. Other than that, the trip was somewhat boring but peppered with the beautiful scenery that is America. Since it was my fifth drive across there wasn't much in the way of surprises.

In the week it took me to cross the country and the weeks following that I've been settling in, the state of things appears to have become progressively worse. This was, of course, one of the main driving forces in my move. As the saying goes, it doesn't take a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing. I won't go all Nostradomaesque and attempt to predict the exact and detailed nature of the shitstorm coming, but I think it's safe to say that there are many possibilities in the offing. Martial Law and a full blown U.S. Police State seems to loom closer every day, possibly just awaiting some civil unrest or other real or phony emergency to spark it off. The prospect of a nuclear attack on Iran and the repercussions thereby generated could well be the spark needed, or perhaps a false flag terrorist attack, be it orchestrated, helped along or simply allowed to go forward. Maybe it's as simple as economic collapse? As far as I can tell, the U.S. economy appears to have already crashed but the fact is being hidden, perhaps in an attempt to stage manage the wealth concentration to the top more efficiently. Then there's the looming problems with China, our CIA run state Pakistan and of course, the renewed cold war with Russia. In any case, things look grim and it seemed a prudent time to at the very least be ready to hunker down the ride the troubled times out.

As far as being off-grid, I'm not quite there. I have electricity, though my needs are very moderate and the few solar lights I set up offset most of that, and a phone line, though the clarity and thus my connection is extremely poor. A deep well provides cool, clear water and a wood stove will heat the cabin as needed. The cabin itself seems to have been smartly designed with one side in shade and the other in sun thus the temperature difference between the two creates a continuous slight breeze. My understanding is that it was part of some sort of communal semi-sustainable community in the distant past, some interesting details on that I'll save for a post of its own. As far as sustainability, I was planning more for safety so that will have to come more slowly, as (if?) time permits. For the time being, I'm buying in bulk and from local purveyors as much as possible. In a pinch I am fairly certain that I could stay here indefinitely with no outside resources, as the area is covered with various fruits and some veggies even my untrained eye can pick out and of course there's all the critters and plenty of fish in the nearby streams. With some luck and work I'd like to move towards complete autonomy and sustainability over the coming months and also look into different smart architectures - I'm leaning towards at least partially underground and perhaps a dome. Likely extremely green, though more indirectly than intentionally. I'm not rabidly environmental, it's more that I prefer to starve the corporate monster by making as few financial transactions as possible.

Security is assured by the remoteness of the location and the sheer ruggedness of the miles of dusty track leading to it. I added to that with a couple of cheap webcams which I popped the IR filters out of and stationed near tiny lights with the bulbs replaced with the bulbs from some old remote controls I found. There's also several 'guardian' peacocks about to give the warning should any intruders venture near.

Overall, I'm enjoying the remoteness, the wilderness and the peace. It also doesn't hurt that my woman is a chef, so the meals have been fabulous. My net connection is deplorable, so my postings will be infrequent until I can remedy that situation. For entertainment there's always my dynamo powered am/fm/shortwave radio and of course I have hundreds of FOIA documents I never had time before to read. I do miss the continuous stream of news from hundreds of feeds I used to enjoy as part of my daily routine, but the feeling of security and peace out here in the forest makes up for that. I'd recommend to anyone who has the means, making the move towards off-grid living, both for peace of mind and safety during these troubled times.

Six months after the surge was announced, how's it going? Apparently not so good. Today Bush attempted to spin the surge as some sort of victory, but all evidence points to the contrary. Since Mission Accomplished, nearly 3500 troops have been killed almost 600 of them since the surge announcement. There is also a large number of contractor deaths and the Iraqi civilian death toll is absolutely staggering. The democratic congress continues to twiddle its thumbs, leaving our troops in harms way while they attempt to capitolize politically on the deteriorating situation. Time to throw them all out? Except Ron Paul of course.

Ron Paul poised to bypass Hillary in largest straw poll

Yep. They've been running neck and neck for a while now at 10%. You can see the poll in the left column of this blog. Hillary has been riding the down spiral of her "funny" little sopranos video, while Paul has been on a massive upsurge of repeated good news as he places higher and higher in every poll he is included in as well as the snowballing effect of his message of freedom and liberty gathering followers wherever it touches. At the time of this writing, the newsvine/facebook poll has over 100,000 voters and the sheer numbers plus the efforts of newsvine makes it more accurate than most of the other fly-by-night polls of this sort. One thing these polls show is that the mainstream media 'pundits' are way off base. For instance, they are predicting Obama very distant to Hillary. This of course is a joke. Obama is far ahead of Hillary right now. Not that I like him, I think it would be charitable to call the man an empty suit, but the fact is he is FAR ahead of Hillary Clinton and only her massively powerful campaign spin machine with a complicit media is hiding that fact. On that note, I'm not a big fan of facebook (cia owned) or newsvine either. I suppose newsvine is alright and I can appreciate the idea behind it, but I prefer the anarchy of digg myself. Anyway, the point is that this poll is fairly accurate for a certain segment of the voting population. Mostly the younger population. Here's something they don't factor in to the polls: People under 21 are registering and going to be voting in nearly TWICE the number that they have in the previous elections. These are people that are NOT on the lists that pollsters use and are an unmeasureable x-factor in the upcoming elections that the mainstream media doesn't want to acknowledge and think they can marginalize by ignoring. Surprise. This will be the voting bloc that decides the election people. Hillary, most hated woman in America is OUT. Likewise the anti-freedom asshat Giuliani. This race is going to be decided on the internet, all unbeknownst to the so called pundits and it's going to be between Barak Obama and Ron Paul... at least that's the way it should turn out, but of course they could in theory cancel eachother out.

Anyhow... vote in the newsvine poll in the left column here and register your opinion. It really does matter.

As soon as Paul crushes Hillary in this poll, he'll be right on the heels of Gouliani and from there it's just a sprint to Obama who will undoubtedly falter between now and election time. VOTE! And as the saying goes "vote often". Don't let the media tell you 'who can win', decide for yourself.

On a side note... since I have multiple site statistic utilities installed here, I can verify that there is absolutely no gaming of the system going on and I have the logs to prove it.

Michael Moore drops Wolf Blitzer's drawers and spanks his bottom blue on CNN's The Situation Room.

It's pretty rare that the mainstream media can surprise me these days, but this interview did the trick. I actually don't even bother with CNN much, but I like to tune in to see Jack Cafferty shaking his fist at congress and shouting "Get off my lawn!" now and then. It was tuning in early to see that today when I got an eye and ear full of this awesome Michael Moore interview. It was preceded by a hit piece questioning the integrity of Moore's new film SiCKO and obviously Moore was watching as it aired because as soon as they went to him, he proceded to rip Wolf Blitzer, CNN and the mainstream news in general a new one. I have to hand it to Moore here, because what he did was channel and control his anger and emotion like a maestro, making his points and taking ground as fast as Blitzer gave it up in his hasty retreating. If a politician could pull off this kind of honest emotional outburst without sounding absolutely crazy, they would be unstobbable. Moore lambasted CNN on their supposed 'facts' regarding U.S. healthcare and when Wolf tried to play the Sanjay Gupta card, Moore took that and turned it against him, steering the conversation to CNN's complicity in getting us into the Iraq War. At one point the interview was even reminicent of the classic movie 'Network' as Michael Moore wondered aloud when the American People would tire of the lies and bullshit the mainstream media pushes and simply turn off their TV's... I was waiting for him to shout "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!". He even demanded an appology to him personally and to the American People for all the bullshit spin CNN put on his previous movie Farenheight 911 because for the most part the things he said in that movie have all been proven true. Overall it was a great interview, at the end I could almost hear the collective sigh as the DailyKos crowd orgasmed in unison.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Michael Moore or Wolf Blitzer. Moore is IMO what can be termed a Left Gatekeeper... in that he will gladly dole out information, but only as long as it serves his own political agenda and withholds anything that is potentially damaging to his personal worldview. This is quite apparent in his film SiCKO where he truthfully tells about all the awfulness in the U.S. health care system but then offers a solution that the government take it over... apparently ignoring the fact that it's the government itself which fouled the system up in the first place and the government which is behind such incredibly successful projects as the war on drugs. Blitzer on the other hand plays the same game from the other end of the scale. He's a neocon mouthpiece and holds back information that is damaging to that agenda unless it becomes too obvious. Check out Wolf's wikipedia page, he's the quinticential Israel Firster who puts the intersts of the United States second and Truth in Reporting a distant third and has one main goal and that is to control the flow of information. Probably Blitzer is the more dangerous of the pair, because as a consumate liar, he is able to come off as neutral and even reasonable - unless of course you do your own fact checking.

Anyhow, good interview, well worth watching. I'll tack on the transcript and video as they become available.

"Cat Fight with Light Sabers!"

The Washington Post is reporting that famed Peace Activist Mom Cindy Sheehan is considering a challenge to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her San Francisco congressional seat in 2008 unless the Speaker puts impeachment back on the table by July 23rd.

I for one applaud Sheehan for such a crazy and bold move. Mainstream pundits and of course the democratic leadership are dismissive of such a challenge, however all that shows is just how out of touch these masters of spin have become. There are a great many factors which come into play here and the vast majority of them favor Sheehan over Pelosi.

Sure, Cindy Sheehan is a bit nutty, but honestly that's practically a requirement to become a member of congress these days, and one thing she does have that most do not is good intentions. Nancy Pelosi on the other hand represents everything that is wrong with our political system. Pelosi is the Old Guard, filthy in PAC contributions, special interest money and basically a cornerstone of the whole corrupt 'money for favors' politicking which the vast majority of Americans have come to despise. A powerhouse in the shadowy world of fund raising, Mrs. Speaker has also slapped the American People in the face with policy issues since taking office. Nancy Pelosi is the face of congress, a congress that is at an all time low in approval ratings (Only Cheney and Bin Laden are lower!). This is not by accident. With a clear mandate from the people in 2006 to end the Iraq War and restore Civil Liberties, Nancy's congress has done neither. In fact, she has done nothing but political grand standing since taking office. Absolutely zero of the 'people's business'. A track record of broken promises, hollow gestures and scorning the will of the people isn't much to run on. How's that swamp draining coming along? From here it looks like the democrats stepped up to the trough vacated by their republican counterparts and gorged themselves on pork. Paying back favors for campaign assistance. How long do they think the American People will stand for this? What right did Nancy have to take impeachment 'off the table' in the first place? It's not her place to decide. If impeachable offenses have been committed, then it's her duty to follow up on them. Perhaps she forgot who she works for: The American People. Well, you can bet the American People won't forget. Not this time. Voters identifying themselves as independents now outnumber those of either party and the reason is obvious - they are sick of both parties and the whole corrupt system.

The 2008 elections will share their central issue with the 2006 elections: The War. People are sick and tired of this ill conceived, mismanaged travesty of a war. The Bush Escalation has increased the body count significantly and it's still on the rise. The democrats have abandoned their mandate and are playing games with the lives of our soldiers in the balance for political gain. Blame for every life lost since the 2006 elections is now shared by the democrats and mostly the democratic leadership. By election time, anti-war sentiment will likely be over 85%, this would be a very bad time to lock horns with a peace activist, even one as odd as Cindy Sheehan, especially in what is in essence America's hotbed of activism. Ron Paul's meteoric rise to the first tier on a shoestring budget has shown that the internet is fast nullifying old school big money candidates and their ability to buy elections, even those like Mrs. Speaker with ties to the Bohemian Grove candidate selection farm. Nancy Pelosi would do well to pay heed to both Cindy Sheehan and the American People if she plans on keeping her job for another term.

Freedom! I'll drink to that. At this time of year, when we're all celebrating the wonderous freedoms of this country, the freedoms that those who came before us fought, killed, bled and died for, it's good and healthy to remember their patriotism. Against all odds, they fought, outnumbered and starving, marching their bare feet through the snow, all the while under the onus of being labeled 'traitor' by their oppressors, for one ideal: Freedom. That is true bravery. Everything we have today we owe to those brave souls and their sacrifice. This type of heroism, sacrifice and honor are almost unheard of in this modern world of cynacism. These days it is all but expected that our politicians will make every attempt to circumvent the rule of law, to ignore the Constitution and to turn their backs on their Oaths of office. One man stands alone against all that, one man stands for the ideals of liberty and the freedoms that our founding fathers fought so hard for and upholds his Oath to the Constitution of the United States of America. That man is Congressman Ron Paul. BREAKING: Bush commutes Scooter Libby sentence

Hot off the presses. Lewis Scooter Libby who was convicted by a jury on four counts has had his sentence commuted by President Bush. Justice served? Noteworthy: Unlike a pardon, a commutation does not nullify the conviction. Apparently Scooter will still likely lose his law license and still have to pay his fines. The President released a two page brief explaining his reasoning, I'll tack that on here when it becomes available.

Added - Here's the Bush Libby Statement:

The United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit today rejected Lewis Libby's request to remain free on bail while pursuing his appeals for the serious convictions of perjury and obstruction of justice. As a result, Mr. Libby will be required to turn himself over to the Bureau of Prisons to begin serving his prison sentence.

I have said throughout this process that it would not be appropriate to comment or intervene in this case until Mr. Libby's appeals have been exhausted. But with the denial of bail being upheld and incarceration imminent, I believe it is now important to react to that decision.

From the very beginning of the investigation into the leaking of Valerie Plame's name, I made it clear to the White House staff and anyone serving in my administration that I expected full cooperation with the Justice Department. Dozens of White House staff and administration officials dutifully cooperated.

After the investigation was under way, the Justice Department appointed United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois Patrick Fitzgerald as a Special Counsel in charge of the case. Mr. Fitzgerald is a highly qualified, professional prosecutor who carried out his responsibilities as charged.

This case has generated significant commentary and debate. Critics of the investigation have argued that a special counsel should not have been appointed, nor should the investigation have been pursued after the Justice Department learned who leaked Ms. Plame's name to columnist Robert Novak. Furthermore, the critics point out that neither Mr. Libby nor anyone else has been charged with violating the Intelligence Identities Protection Act or the Espionage Act, which were the original subjects of the investigation. Finally, critics say the punishment does not fit the crime: Mr. Libby was a first-time offender with years of exceptional public service and was handed a harsh sentence based in part on allegations never presented to the jury.

Others point out that a jury of citizens weighed all the evidence and listened to all the testimony and found Mr. Libby guilty of perjury and obstructing justice. They argue, correctly, that our entire system of justice relies on people telling the truth. And if a person does not tell the truth, particularly if he serves in government and holds the public trust, he must be held accountable. They say that had Mr. Libby only told the truth, he would have never been indicted in the first place.

Both critics and defenders of this investigation have made important points. I have made my own evaluation. In preparing for the decision I am announcing today, I have carefully weighed these arguments and the circumstances surrounding this case.

Mr. Libby was sentenced to thirty months of prison, two years of probation, and a $250,000 fine. In making the sentencing decision, the district court rejected the advice of the probation office, which recommended a lesser sentence and the consideration of factors that could have led to a sentence of home confinement or probation.

I respect the jury's verdict. But I have concluded that the prison sentence given to Mr. Libby is excessive. Therefore, I am commuting the portion of Mr. Libby's sentence that required him to spend thirty months in prison.

My decision to commute his prison sentence leaves in place a harsh punishment for Mr. Libby. The reputation he gained through his years of public service and professional work in the legal community is forever damaged. His wife and young children have also suffered immensely. He will remain on probation. The significant fines imposed by the judge will remain in effect. The consequences of his felony conviction on his former life as a lawyer, public servant, and private citizen will be long-lasting.

The Constitution gives the President the power of clemency to be used when he deems it to be warranted. It is my judgment that a commutation of the prison term in Mr. Libby's case is an appropriate exercise of this power.

A good showing by Ron Paul will go a long way to dispelling the myth that we are a small but vocal group as well as generating some serious surprise and mainstream media coverage (by highlighting who he beats!). Every little bit at this crucial time is going to help. With luck, the donations of this quarter will lessen the burden next quarter by increasing our numbers many fold. I know times are hard for many of us, the middle class is being gutted, but think of it as an investment. Once Ron Paul is elected we can all look forward to a pay raise in the form of tax reduction as well as an overall increase in the value and purchasing power of the dollars we already have. Politicians take heed: The Power Ron Paul

Ron Paul is all the buzz on this series of tubes we call the Internet. Not just the typical flash in the pan buzz of lonelygirl15 either, this meme appears to have the persistence of a weed. As I write this, 'Ron Paul' is the second most searched term in the blogosphere, nestled comfortably between the usual suspects 'Youtube' and 'MySpace' . This has been noted adnaseum over the last several weeks. What has been missed however is the apparent lasting power of Ron Paul. He took the usual meme route and shot right to number one and held it for a while before being de-throned by blog meme regular 'Paris Hilton'. That's typical for flash in the pan popularity. What is not typical however is that Paul dropped only to second place and has remained there ever since. Normally, when the 'next big thing' has had its time in the sun, it disappears down the memory hole, rarely to be heard from again. The Ron Paul revolution continues to hold a respectable place net-wide, from the blogosphere to Youtube to Myspace to Facebook to Digg and beyond. This thing is here to stay.

So what's the trick? I'm sure any other politician would love to know. Any politician would love to be able to harness this type of grass roots movement which is reaching the maximum number of people at the minimum cost. The trick is: There is no trick. You can't trick the Internet. Sure, you can make a big push and gain some recognition, but it won't have the staying power we see in the Ron Paul campaign. That's the difference between the old media and the new. Now, when a politician spews forth sound bytes and rhetoric, there's a hundred bloggers picking over every word, comparing it to the records, analyzing it every which way and if the words don't match the reality ... woe to the foolish politician who tried to pull a fast one. It can be a career ender. The net is in essence the worlds largest 'truthiness' detector. Bullshit and spin have minimal effect here and often times can engender a backlash worse than any gains made. On the net, a politician has to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. That's where Ron Paul wins. His honesty and integrity leaves nothing for the nay sayers to assail. It also doesn't hurt that his message itself resonates with the freedom loving internet crowd. As a strict Constitutionalist, Paul puts freedom and liberty above all else and appears to extend that to the internet as well. He is against regulation and taxation of the net. I think perhaps he sees in the internet what his policies could do for America as a whole. The internet thrives exactly because it is minimally regulated and un-taxed. The entire country used to be that way, before ever more intrusive and restrictive laws were passed for corporate and special interests and strangling taxation choked off the American Dream. That's what made this country great and in some ways we're still resting on the laurels of past glories, coasting along on the power of yesterday and destroying the future in our head long path to an unsustainable future. In a nutshell, if you want to excite people about you as a politician, you have to be a politician that people can get excited about. Don't just tell us what you think we want to hear, that doesn't fly in today's age. We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore. It's a simple concept really: You do right by the people and the people will do right by you.

That's not to say politicians out there can't capitalize on the power of Ron Paul right now. This is where you would do well to take heed. Besides the ever vigilant 'truthiness detection' the internet has brought to the political landscape, there is another important contribution: Long Memory. The net does not forget. This long memory is a sword that can cut both ways. If you anger the blogosphere, you can be guaranteed that somewhere down the road it will come back to bite you. You can rest assured that one of the 70 million+ bloggers has archived your misdeeds and will raise the hue and cry at the most inopportune moment sometime in the future. A good example of this might be seen in the case of Eric Dondero. Dondero, described by Paul as "a disgruntled former employee who was fired", apparently belongs to the small and ever dwindling mindset of Americans who believe that the "terrists" hate us for our freedom, as opposed to the more realistic stance which Ron Paul and the entire intelligence community takes which is that they hate our foreign policy. After Paul pointed out this simple common sense fact in the GOP debates, Dondero foolishly announced that he'd be challenging Paul for his congressional seat. The flap lasted about a half a day. Thanks to the long memory of the internet and the power of the Ron Paul Army however, it is likely that Dondero has sunk his political career. I'd be surprised if he were able to make a successful run as Dog Catcher now, and you can bet dollars to donuts that the Paulites will be vigilantly watching for him to try and ready and eager to pounce if he does. This long memory of course has a bright side as well. Politicians who support Ron Paul may well find themselves in a much better position when their own races come up. Those struggling toughly contested seats may find an ally in the Ron Paul Army. They may find themselves rescued by a sudden surge in fundraising, volunteer campaigning and those extra votes that just make the difference.

To be clear, politicians, if you endorse Ron Paul now, we will not forget you. We are a large and growing, internet-savy and very loyal grass roots movement, becoming increasingly organized all the time. The type of energetic and enthusiastic support we offer is priceless. It can put boots on the ground, coins in the coffers and bodies in the voting booth. It can be had at no cost. Endorse Ron Paul and we will not forget you.

Help get Ron Paul on Countdown with Keith Olbermann

It's fast becoming fashionable for the talking heads on the mainstream news to criticize the many blunders of the Bush administration. Long before it was popular however, Keith Olbermann was out there crying foul over the abuses of the Constitution and Habeas Corpus. Standing almost alone in pointing out the wholesale destruction of the Constitution, the very cornerstone of our society, by the Bushies, with his 'special comments' Olbermann seemed almost Murrowesque. In light of this heroic stance, it seems strange that Keith has not had Congressman Ron Paul, the undisputed Champion of the Constitution on his show. In fact, as the only person in congress who stands by his Oath of Office to uphold the Constitution and consistently votes against any law which is unconstitutional, Ron Paul's absence from Countdown with Keith Olbermann seems a glaring injustice and may be seen by some as a spotlight on partisanship. I hope this is not the case.

Ron Paul is walking on the moon

Everything seems to be breaking Ron Paul's way lately. Recent events are throwing other candidates into a tailspin while Paul proceeds calm, cool and collected like the elder statesman he has shown himself to be. He is getting his common sense message out and gathering a snowballing group of devoted followers along the way. The juggernaut of freedom.

Meanwhile...

Rudy Giuliani, already mired in the stink of corruption, suffered a tough blow when the state chairman of his campaign Thomas Ravenel was indicted on cocaine charges.

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg has left the GOP, further fuelling speculation that he might run for President in 08 as an independent. This will have several consequences.

First, the big money folks being bought off by special interests are likely to suffer because piles of their corporate backing is going to dry up in the face of a self financed billionaire. So that's 1 whammy each to Hillary, Giuliani and Romney. It might be enough to knock Mitt Romney out of his magical underwear because he's been shoveling gobs of cash into his campaign bid and has barely registered much more than some of the third tier candidates as it is. I guess he's just boring, or perhaps too scripted, or maybe it's the flip-floppery? I don't know, I never really thought he had a chance to begin with.

Another consequence will be, being from New York, that's bound to hit both Giuliani and Hillary to some degree. I doubt it will be enough to completely crush Rudy, but considering the recurring corruption scandals, his general unlikeablility and the spanking he got from Ron Paul on foreign policy... it's certainly not helping him. Hillary herself will take less of a hit, but since every day she's sounding more and more like a pro-war neocon koolaid drinking Bush clone and that's bound to start driving people away, every little chip at the ice queen is going to sting. To add a little insult to injury, today's real news has pretty much overshadowed her little Hillary Clinton Sopranos video on hillaryclinton.com which is probably just as well because to me it seemed rather stilted. Another same girl video. I'm sure someone thought it'd go viral, but really it's just a yawn.

Of course Bloomberg doesn't have a chance ftw, he's not a great campaigner or speaker and he has much the same flaw Rudy does... stances on issues from both parties which the other party utterly hates. Someone should tell them that this doesn't make you a 'centrist', it makes you unelectable. In any case, he's likely to dillute the pool on both sides of the isle for pretty much everyone, except Ron Paul of course, much the same way that arch neocon and coward Freddy Thompson will be dilluting the small and ever dwindling pro-war vote.

Moving on... as noted earlier Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance have failed to invite Ron Paul to their little forum on the 30th. Well, it's been exposed that The Chairman of Iowans for Tax Relief, Ed Failor, is a Senior Advisor to the McCain Campaign in Iowa. That answers some questions. Somehow I doubt this will help McCain's foundering campaign. No doubt, these folks are feeling the full fury of the Ron Paul Army, much as the foolish Michigan GOP chairman Saul Anuzis did before them (I wonder how long his career will last?).

And that brings us to... the end of the quarter campaign finance disclosures coming up at the end of this month. It's likely that some of the stragglers will drop out before the next quarter, and some of these lesser knowns are going to be reporting not only low revenues, but possibly debt. I expect McCain to have a rather poor showing, in fact the more I see from McCain, the more I think he'll be lucky if his constituents take pity on him and allow him to remain their senator. In any case, the field is going to be narrowing somewhat. On the other hand, word on the grapevine is that Ron Paul will be reporting some respectable fund raising numbers, thanks to his incredible popularity on the internet and the growing affinity for his message. I hope it's enough to catapult him into a solid first tier position. There's ten days left, so you can still donate to his campaign for this quarter to give him a bigger bump.

Sometimes I think the other candidates and their bumbling shenanegans are working to make Ron Paul look even better.

I just saw this video on the Daily Paul, and it blew me away. I've been a Ron Paul fan for a number of years now, certainly long before he threw his hat in the ring for the current presidential bid, but I'm also a bit of a pessimist. Something striking about watching this video is that my pessimism was swept away and I found myself thinking about how things could be verses how they are. There's something about Paul's easy, honest and plain spoken manner of explaining the complex issues and dilemmas this country is facing that just draws me in and instils something I havn't felt in a long time: Hope.

In this short (just under 20 minutes) question and answer session, Congressman Paul tackles a wide range of topics in his usual straightforward, no-nonsense way (I guess that's easy when you speak from the heart and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to back up what you say). He touches on: immigration, marijuana laws, liberty, the constitution, marriage and civil unions, central banks and the dumping of gold to prop up the dollar, peak oil, the federal reserve, rolling back unconstitutional and illegal presidential orders and signing statements, gun regulation, veterans, protecting the borders, nafta and the hated superhighway, free trade, tarrifs and taxes, special interest influence on government, redistribution of wealth, the military industrial complex, Bush's possible war crimes, property tax, reduction of the size of government and freedom versus authoratarianism. Yes, he packed all that into 20 minutes and in an easy, coherent fluid way.

This video is well worth watching.

Fred Thompson is too cowardly to be President

Alright, I have nothing against Fred Thompson personally... well, maybe there are a few little things about him that I find irksome. For instance, his lobbying efforts to deregulate the savings and loan industry which resulted in the S&L crisis in the 80's. Then there was the lobbying on behalf of big business to make sure they didn't have to pay big money to those afflicted with health problems due to asbestos exposure. And of course he appears to be drinking the neocon koolaid in huge gulps, making him in essense yet another Bushie. All that aside, he doesn't seem like such a bad guy. It's his cowardly approach to the presidential election that I don't like.

Perhaps, as many actors, he is unable to speak without a script? What it appears to be though, is that he's frightened to pit himself against the other candidates in the debates. Afraid of the tough questions and afraid to be put in a position where he might have to think on his feet and speak without a cue card. It doesn't end there though. Having dodged the bullet and avoided three debates, Fred is now apparently going to wait until July to 'announce' his unannounced entry into the race. The reason for the delay is obvious: if he announced now, he would have to disclose fund raising numbers for the current quarter and they would look poor. So it's just strategy right? Perhaps. Perhaps it's even good strategy, but it's certainly not good straightforward leadership, and that's something this country sorely needs right now.

I'm really not sure why Freddy entertained the idea of throwing his hat into the ring in the first place. Yes, there is dissatisfaction with the republican candidates, but for the most part the same things turning voters away from most of the declared pack are the same things Fred embodies. Namely the neocon agenda of perpetual and ever expanding war via an ill conceived interventionist foreign policy, growing government beyond all measure, taxing the people to death and stripping away civil rights and liberties. Honestly, what was he thinking? People are unhappy because they have bad choices so Fred puts himself forward as the worst choice? It makes no sense. The neocon koolaid seems to impart a discernable break from reality.

Neoconservatism (as well as its sister neoliberalism) has failed miserably. It's been tried and found wanting. Beyond just not working, this flawed philosophy born in a think tank is detrimental to America as a whole. The people have seen this and the people have rejected it. Time to rethink, reorganize and try something different, not continue along a failed path.

Perhaps at a different time in history Freddy would be hailed as presidential. Unfortunately for him, and thanks to the same failed policies he himself seems to be embracing, Bush and his cabal of criminals have steered this country into a very dark place and a president who is 'just okay' or even 'least bad' simply won't do. In this time of crisis, created entirely by bad neocon policy, we're facing a collapsing economy, endless detrimental foreign entanglements and the greatest challenge to the constitution since its signing. In this time of challenges, the country needs a real leader, not someone who plays one on television. We need a hero; someone with a keen understanding of foreign policy as well as economics and a defender of the constitution. The only person running that fits that bill is Congressman Ron Paul.

P.S. Adam Schiff was a better fictional district attorney too!

CONGRESSMAN WILLIAM JEFFERSON INDICTED ON BRIBERY, RACKETEERING,
MONEY LAUNDERING, OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, AND RELATED CHARGES

WASHINGTON - United States Congressman William J. Jefferson was indicted today by a federal grand jury on charges including bribery and racketeering for allegedly using his office to corruptly solicit bribes and for paying bribes to a foreign official, Assistant Attorney General Alice S. Fisher of the Criminal Division and U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg for the Eastern District of Virginia announced today.

The 16-count indictment, returned by a federal grand jury in Alexandria, Va., charges Jefferson with solicitation of bribes, honest services wire fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, racketeering, and conspiracy. The indictment alleges that from in or about August 2000 through in or about August 2005, Jefferson, while serving as an elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives, used his position and his office to corruptly seek, solicit and direct that things of value be paid to Jefferson and his family members in exchange for his performance of official acts to advance the interests of people and businesses who offered him the bribes.

The things of value allegedly sought and/or received by Jefferson on behalf of his business interests and relatives included hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of bribes in the form of payments from monthly fees or retainers, consulting fees, percentage shares of revenues and profits, flat fees for items sold, and stock ownership in the companies seeking his official assistance.

The official acts allegedly undertaken by Jefferson included leading official business delegations to Africa, corresponding with U.S. and foreign government officials, and utilizing congressional staff members to promote businesses and businesspersons. Business ventures that Congressman Jefferson sought to promote included: telecommunications deals in Nigeria, Ghana, and elsewhere; oil concessions in Equatorial Guinea; satellite transmission contracts in Botswana, Equatorial Guinea, and the Republic of Congo; and development of different plants and facilities in Nigeria.

"The Department of Justice is committed to enforcing the public corruption laws designed to ensure the integrity of our government," said Assistant Attorney General Fisher. "The Department will continue to hold public officials accountable for corrupt acts such as the bribery schemes outlined in today's indictment."

"The schemes charged are complex, but the essence of this case is simple: Mr. Jefferson corruptly traded on his good office, and on the Congress where he served as a Member of the United States House of Representatives, to enrich himself and his family through a pervasive pattern of fraud, bribery and corruption that spanned many years and two continents," said U.S. Attorney Rosenberg.

"The FBI has made combating public corruption its top criminal investigative priority because American citizens deserve honest and ethical public officials representing their interest," said Assistant Director Kenneth W. Kaiser, FBI Criminal Investigative Division. "As it is alleged, Congressman Jefferson violated the public's trust and used his official position and office as a RICO enterprise to corruptly solicit bribes, to pay off a foreign official, and to illegally benefit from overseas business transactions during a five-year period. The FBI will continue to work with our local, state, federal and international partners to combat public corruption across all levels of government as no corrupt public servant is exempt from FBI scrutiny."

The indictment alleges that Jefferson knowingly conspired with Vernon L. Jackson, a Louisville, Ky., businessman, and Brett M. Pfeffer, a former Jefferson congressional staff member, and others as part of the bribery and corruption scheme. Jefferson allegedly discussed and solicited bribes in return for being influenced in the performance of certain official acts, including receiving things of value from iGate, Jackson's company. According to the indictment, Jefferson also corruptly sought bribes from an individual identified in the indictment as a Cooperating Witness (CW) to be paid to family members. The indictment alleges, for example, that Jefferson required 5 percent to 7 percent of the CW's newly formed Nigerian company be given to members of Jefferson's family in exchange for his assistance. Jefferson allegedly made the request of the CW in December 2004 during a meeting in a congressional dining room.

The indictment further alleges that Jefferson violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by allegedly offering, promising and making payments to a foreign official to advance the various business endeavors in which he and his family had financial interest. Jefferson was allegedly responsible for negotiating, offering and delivering payments of bribes to the official identified in the indictment as "Nigerian Official A."

According to the indictment, on or about July 18, 2005, Jefferson met with Nigerian Official A at the official's residence in Potomac, Md., and offered Official A a bribe to induce him to use his position to assist in obtaining commitments from NITEL, the government-controlled main telecommunications service provider in Nigeria. On or before Aug. 3, 2005, at his residence in Washington, D.C., Jefferson allegedly secreted in his freezer $90,000 of the $100,000 in cash provided by the CW as part of the front-end bribe payment to Nigerian Official A. The cash was separated into $10,000 increments, wrapped in aluminum foil, and concealed inside various frozen food containers.

Jefferson faces a maximum of 235 years in prison if convicted on all counts. Jackson was sentenced to 87 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit bribery and the payment of bribes to a public official. Pfeffer was sentenced to 96 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit bribery and aiding and abetting the solicitation of bribes by a member of Congress.

The case is being prosecuted by Mark D. Lytle and Rebeca H. Bellows, Assistant U.S. Attorneys, Eastern District of Virginia and Trial Attorney Charles E. Duross of the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

Criminal indictments are only charges and not evidence of guilt. A defendant is presumed to be innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Democratic debates: Edwards wins... others lose.

Alright, I wrote my own transcript of the debates which I'll provide below. It may be biased, but too bad. That's the way I heard it. Overall I think Edwards came away with a clear win... though I guess it really will depend on how the spin masters twist it to see how everyone else feels. In saything that you should understand I do not endorse nor will I be voting for any democrat in the election and this is just my analysis of the debate itself.

I found the debate to be rather boorish. Most of them agree on the basic principle of the nanny state and I didn't hear anyone endorsing serious changes like rolling back the police state Bush has created which the voters have come out against. I guess they didn't get the memo? One thing I found rather disturbing was that Senator Hillary Clinton was addressed 'common' i.e. as 'Hillary' - I find that disrespectful. I can't stand her politics, but she IS a UNITED STATES SENATOR and that's something important to remember. That her co-debaters didn't is an absolute disgrace and they should probaby each issue a press relrease correcting that along with an apology. We'll see how that works out.

Beyond that, Hillary herself lost (I can say that, I'm just a blogger), as did Barak... in fact, they were both brought down by this debate. It's not like they could have passed on it though eh? The other loser may have been Mike Gravel... not due to anything he said, but more due to the fact that he didn't get a real chance to speak. My total summary is this:

Edwards: Big winner, bootstrapped himself into the top tier.

Richardson: Small winner, got some word out but not nearly enough.

Clinton, Obama, Kucinich, Biden, Gravel: Slight losers, either had no strong standing or were unable to defend their positions in a statesmanly manner (in Gravel's case didn't get the chance).

Everyone else remained unchanged (though that's not really a good thing at this point in the game).

Kucinich: Is the Patriot act okay? Ben Franklin: those who would give up their liberties to gain security deserve neither. The patriot act is unconstitutional and I shall overturn it. (100% correct).

Biden: Iraq, You voted to continue the Iraq War... why were you right and the other idiots wrong? Biden: That bill was horseshit and it's all been lies. Time to end the madness. If you want to support the troops, bring them home.

Clinton: DO I play politics with the lives of the troops? Yes, basically.

Obama: Everybody mindlessly supports the troops.. or at least says they do. Bush is a fuckup, I'll do it better.

Edwards: Do you agree with these fools? Yes and No... I want to fight Bush but still win politically, the troops may have to suffer while we decide which party makes the most out of this whole mess.

Obama: I opposed this war from the start, even though I was a nobody with no say in it... I still stand on my rather weak record.

Hills: This is a Bush's fuckup, I dont know how we got into this political mess, but I have a plan to bring troops home - eventually, maybe, someday.

Edwards: There are differences between the democratic candidates, but nobody can see them because they are just semantic.

Chris Dodd: (nothing that wasn't already said by other candidates...)

Richardson: What if Genocide takes place in Iraq? I have a lot of experience, I know everything. Genocide is bad.

Gravel: Where do you disagree with the idiots? Completely. The democrats facilitated the war.. they share it with Bush. Remember vietnam and the idiotic domino theory.

Kucinich: Is Iraq a waste of time? Our soldiers shouldn't have been sent there in the first place and this war was based on LIES. END IT NOW - STOP THE FUNDING!

Biden: Let's get some truth into this discussion. END THE WAR. The truth is George Bush emboldens the enemy.

Clinton: Do you regret funding the war without reading the intel estimate? I was briefed! I knew everything. This is one of my talking points I've prepared for, thanks for asking it.

Edwards: did you want to read it? No, I read the summary and in part I agree with Hillary (addressing her common) but I was wrong on the vote and I've since then come around and will admit that I was wrong. Why won't she?

Obama: You were nobody at that time, you had no information, what do you think? Not much, but I sure like playing monday morning quarterback.

Gravel: Should anyone who voted for the war be president? NO! These people knew that there were two sets of intel about this. They have killed more americans than died in 9/11 and that alone disqualifies them to be president.

Hillary: It was a mistake to trust George Bush and I'll be using that as my fallback position throughout this debate and my campaign.

Richardson: IS granting amnesty to 12 million illegals a good thing? Blah blah blah... bunch of rhetoric... the current pro-amnesty bill is no amnesty... everyone may hate it, but it's good, no matter what the american people think.

Biden: Should there be a fence? No. There are 14 million people here already, there's no way we can get them out anyway, let's turn them into democratic voters. Let's be practical. Screw the fence, even though I voted for it before.

Obama: Pro fence or not? Why not one with Canada? I watch the news, tuberculousis man came from Canada! Blah blah whatever, rhetoric supporting the stupidity of the current amnesty bill.

Hand raise: English official language? ONLY GRAVEL raised his hands... he speaks french and english. (first applause entire debate).

Obama: The issue is not english... blah blah blah

Clinton: The problem is in making it official.. they wont print ballots and nobody in hospitols will speak spanish. (Was that a joke?)

Dodd: I agree with Hillary and Barak. (makes good point on encouraging speaking of multiple languages)

Edwards: Healthcare... Do we need taxes to pay for healthcare? Yes... these other folks are really liars and you just can't give everyone healthcare without paying for it... it's really that simple... let's be honest.

Obama: I'd rather drive down the costs of healthcare than give blanket healthcare to everyone. (seems rather reasonable, but only at first glance)

Clinton: I LOVE universal healthcare! It's my prime issue! (zero details just a general endorsement and basically saying it's HER issue) blah blah blah. Blames big Pharma and Insurance (which is surprising).

Richardson: I insured every child under 5 in new mexico, got rid of junk food in schools.. I will make it manditory for the entire U.S. but it worked for us in New Mexico so it should be good (will it?)... why won't it work for everyone? Focus on prevention.

Dodd: We stink as a nation on healcare and it's shameful (totally right) We need bi-partisanship (again, right).

Edwards: Obama will leave 15 million people uncovered on healthcare, my plan covers everyone BY LAW. It's going to cost a lot but we can find the money.

Obama: Blah blah, let's keep it non-mandatory ... look at auto-insurance where it's mandatory and so many don't have it anyway.

Edwards: Children can't decide, therefore it needs to be decided for everyone.

Kucinich: I disagree... there's only one way... a universal single payer healthcare system for everyone - what these other jerks are talking about is turning it over to the insurance companies (applause).

Clinton: On dont ask dont tell - Gays have always been in the military but there is a problem with the dont ask dont tell implementation. We need more arabic linguists so we need to allow gays and lesbians into the military! (references Goldwater - you don't have to be straight to shoot straight). (Actually makes sense... don't even know why such a thing would be discussed since it's a no brainer).

Biden: Peter Pace sucks. Gays are fine in the military. We've got a war on our hands and we should be welcoming in anyone who wants to serve. (No duh?).

Richardson: Delivers impromptu pro-gay speech and rights for all... (trying to one up Kucinich?)

What should be done with former president Clinton?

Gravel: I will send Clinton as a roving ambassador around the world... and send his wife with him. (audience LOLs).

Richardson: Ideal job for clinton is in the UN. Clinton hooked me up with some good jobs... I'd send him to the middle east (WTF? now displays a complete cluelessness on foreign policy).

Obama: (kisses hillary's ass) says clinton (Bill) can be a diplomat and we need diplomats. (yawn).

Hills: blah blah we should be using former presidents (does she mean Carter too?) my wayward husband shall be a roving ambasaador...

Dodd: Gas Crises? (Honestly, he said nothing intelligable, just rattled off a pile of hot-button keywords and concentrated them on global warming and endorsed a carbon tax).

Gravel: I'll join the carbon tax band wagon. Shit costs money. Gas costs are much higher than you think. (He's right that gas costs a lot more than we pay at the pump, but personally I think the entire idea of a carbon tax is absolutely ridiculous).

Edwards: Blah blah... investigate the gas companies why are we subsidizing them? (good question, let's do it!)

Rhichardson: Is price gouging going on? My state is green! I shall ignore the question. Every American should sacrifice to help this problem!

Biden: Reduce the price of gas? Take away the subsidy. Investigate price gouging. Raise mileage per gallon on autos and make that legislated.

Clinton: I am very concerned... we should have used diplomacy... blah blah... pro Bush crap injected. Raises the spectre of the soviet union and missiles "pointed at us". Basically endorses a full on nuclear attack on Iran but doesn't have the balls to come out and say so.

Edwards: Stop Iran from the nuke threat? WOW AMAZINGLY Edwards speaks truth about Iran... which is, they are quite pro-western. I'm shocked and amazed. Offers a carrot and stick propsal.. economically.. (my god he's right).

Biden: Gets loaded question regarding nuclear countdown... ignores and goes diplomacy as well... makes fun of Iran's nuclear capability (true according to the cIA). Stresses economics (did he steal Edward's wind there?)

Hillary: Blah blah... they've become a dictatrorship, but we sort of need that to control the area.

Kucinich: We have Bin Laden in our sights, should we take him out and kill innocents? NO We don't use assassination as a tool, we're the good guys. (he should have said 'what kind of asshole would ask something like that?').

Dodd: blah blah it's bad, but I'll dance around the issue and of course still support all earmarks that help my constitutents... just like everyone else. (dont blame him it's the most honest answer).

Ron Paul, Digg, Spam and everything

Originally I started this article because I saw alot of diggers disparaging Ron Paul supporters because they were 'new' as in recently signed up to digg and therefore apparently their diggs and comments were somehow worth less than those of diggers who had been around much longer. This alone was rather disturbing, however when I scratched the surface and started checking out the actual people submitting articles I found much more to it than just that... and therefore this article itself changed.

You have to be living under an internet rock if you havn't felt the waves and reverberations of Ron Paul by now. Still, there seems to be plenty of people who just skim headlines and end up getting a lot of misinformation or even disinformation on this politician. I just thought I'd set a few things straight, for the record.

First... Ron Paul is indeed winning in every online straw poll. What I see a lot of talk about this one is that these polls are not scientific and Ron Paul is not holding his own in the supposedly scientific polls. Further, there have been many allegations that a small but determined group of tech savy Ron Paul supporters are gaming the system and thereby giving Ron Paul an undue advantage in such polls.

That would be fine if it were one or two polls, but really... for Ron Paul to be winning ALL of the polls? It stretches the imagination to think that his supporters could manipulate each and every poll as well as the metrics and records which places such as google, technorati and alexa not only keep, but base their entire business plan on. Really, if Ron Paul fans could 'game' the system to this extent, then he'll win hands down regardless because this is so far beyond 'fiddling' it's almost a conspiracy theory in it's own right.

More... the supposed 'scientific' polls quoted usually either reference a time period that pre-dates the recent Ron Paul explosion in popularity or don't include him as a choice at all... how scientific can that really be?

Second... Ron Paul supporters are (again, via a small but tech savy group) gaming digg and other social networking sites.

This itself would be funny if it weren't leading so many people to the wrong conclusions via the 'herd behavior' effect.

I'll be the first to admit that yes, there are a whole bunch of Ron Paul articles streaming through digg on a regular basis. Let's take a moment though to examine those articles and the people who submit and comment on them eh?

'Ron Paul' is the number one search term for blogs. Ron Paul has the most subscribers on Youtube. Ron Paul has the most friends on Myspace, Friendster and Facebook. Ron Paul, as previously mentioned, has won every single straw poll on the internet. What does this all mean? Ron Paul is POPULAR. What always has a place on digg? Things that are popular. As much as a geek fest digg is, there has always been a place for whatever news that is popular and/or breaking. Every starlet's indiscretion, every hollywood legal battle, every scandal. It all filters through. Popularity alone projects a great many articles onto digg.

Third... Of the many 'Ron Paul' articles coming through digg, a rather large amount of them are anti-Paul hit pieces or straight up spam articles inserted to generate anti-Paul sentiment. This is a tough one to combat, but I would hope that diggers would be a little bit discriminate before declaring everything 'Paul' as spam. If you take a look at who exactly is submitting these articles and what their views are, you'll see that the bulk of 'Ron Paul' related material you see is actually coming from submitters who are against Ron Paul and are merely betting that by upping the number of articles that they can turn popular digg support against him. This alone should raise a big red flag for everyone and cause people to question the motives behind such anti-digg-social behavior. Basically, these folks are betting on diggers being stupid enough to fall for such ploys and are themselves attempting to 'game' the system in order to point the finger at Ron Paul fans as the culprits and lay the blame on them. The account was made a week ago, all submissions are anti-paul, all diggs are anti-paul and he's befriended every pro-paul digger in order to track and comment bomb all Paul related articles. Is that in the spirit of this community? An account with the only purpose of generating anti-sentiment on... anything?

Politics20, and there are tons just like him, again I'm just providing one example of many: It seems that digg h as seen fit to delete this account - obviously for reason... the skinny of it though is that he tracks ALL political stories, and through a combination of rss feeds and widgets, blind submits whatever political articles that happen to be 'hot' at the moment. Not just here, but on every social networking site. Funny thing is, ALL of his links lead back his personal advertising heavy blog... http://hammer2006.blogspot.com. I'm all for the entrepreneurial spirit, but this is clear abuse of digg and totally against the TOS... the point here though is that this guy and many others like him are adding to the spam and it all gets blamed on the Ron Paul supporters. At the end of the day, I think if you bother to 'check it out', you'll find that between the articles that would just normally be on digg anyway, the anti-paul spam and the monetary keyword pirates, if you stripped that all out, you have a very few articles by actual Ron Paul supporters and they are all rather high quality and for the most part certainly worthy of a digg, NOT a bury. What's really happened here is that people from OTHER candidate's volunteer organizations have seen the Ron Paul effect and the Power of Digg and made a move to turn it around and incite anti-Paul sentiment. They're betting that diggers are too stupid to digg deeper and find out the real story. I'm hoping they're wrong.

In conclusion, from my own personal experience... support for Ron Paul is indeed REAL. It is widespread. He resonates with the internet crowd and yes, he's not perfect. The polls are correct and not gamed. The massive influx of Ron Paul related articles, or if you prefer 'spam', are NOT due to Ron Paul supporters, in fact afaik they are the one and only group that does any self policing in that regard at all. If you are overwhelmed with Ron Paul material, for the most part it is coming from OTHER candidate's volunteers or those who have a monetary interest in spamming in general, NOT from the pro Ron Paul crowd. So give them a break eh? Is there any other digg clique that at all works to reduce spam? I don't think so.

President Bush: Congress is my bitch

I woke up late last Thursday... at the crack of eleven. As always, the first thing I did was fish around the blankets for the remote and click on the idiot box. My tv just happened to be tuned to C-Span from the previous night, so what's the first thing I see? President Bush in the Rose Garden holding a press conference. Always a treat. Really. I love watching our Fearless Leader speak. He's a walking contradiction, and for those versed in such disciplines as body language, facial micro expressions and linguistic mannerisms,
the man is both a study and a test. I see a lot of folks on the left casting aspersions on President Bush's intelligence. They often portray him as stupid or ignorant. I find this funny. From my reading, Bush often has vast knowledge of the issues at hand, usually much moreso than the reporters these days that toss him softball questions. He is engaged and uses his folksy image to deflect tough questions, usually endearing himself to his audience and enjoining them to laugh both with him and at him. It's excellent 'strategery' and he is even better at it than his father was. Those who would (and should) be scathingly critical of Bush are simply disarmed and self-rendered impotent for the most part.

In any case, I'm not one of 'those' and I view Bush through the eyes of the afforementioned disciplines, or if you prefer, a 'truthiness' filter. What follows is my personal transcription of Bush's recent Rose Garden press conference through that filter. For refrence, you may view the original transcription here.

"Today, I am officially declaring that I've made the 110th congress my personal bitch. Despite the fact that congress had a clear mandate from the American people to stop this ill-conceived, ill-planned and ill-executed (but extremely profitable to many of my friends and business partners) war, I'm getting my way. I'm getting a no-restrictions, unlimited budget to continue my failed endeavor at the expense of innocent lives. So there! Hah! But it gets better... I've also been able to chop out billions of dollars that the democrats were trying to steer towards their major contributors. We all know what that means don't we? That money can now be steered on it's proper course... towards Haliburton and other big no-bid contractors who support my party! What did you expect? That's the game. It's all about who can get the biggest piece of the taxpayer's pie for their corporate contributors. Sure, most corporations play both sides and pay well for it, but that's just good business sense. What's a few million when the returns are counted in billions? In any case, I won and my guys get the most. That's all that matters.

Beyond that, as well all know, the puppet government which my team has installed in Iraq has gone on vacation. They have ignored the dire warnings and in all likelihood most of them will never return to their country but instead flee somewhere where they can spend their ill-gotten gains. This was expected, and is really all part of my plan, but the important thing I want everyone to remember is - Al-Qaeda is still out there, so be scared, be very very scared. And your word for the week is 'benchmarks'. We're not meeting them, hell, we're not even setting them, but I'll keep saying it. Above all, what we can expect is more American and Iraqi deaths, and of course, a big boost in profits, but that goes without saying eh?

On the home front, specifically the immigration issue. Well, what can I say? I've declared a global war on terrorism but left the borders to this once great nation wide open and nobody has called me on it yet. Over 10% of Mexico's entire population is here and working illegally to exploit our ever decreasing natural resources for corporate greed, despite the fact that Mexico itself is one of the most resource-rich nations on this planet. I've decided to grant amnesty to the millions of illegal aliens here. Yes, I know, the last time we did this it increased the influx of illegals many fold, but I can't ignore the profit margin. The folks that employ illegal aliens ... let's face it, slave labor ... they're making a bundle and the more they make, the more they have to toss to both political parties, and that's why we're working together to make it easy on our corporate sponsors. True bi-partisanship. The so called middle class is done. You'll learn to like it.

And now, I'll take a few softball questions.

Q: Iran! They're going to have nuclear weapons any minute, despite that the CIA has said they're ten years away... what will we do?

A: First, sanctions. We'll starve their kids and make them hate us. Yes, 70% of their country is under 30 years old and they lean western and would probably vote A-ah-whatever-da-jeen out if I stopped rattling my sabre, but really, where's the corporate profit in that? We've got to think of our allies... like the dictatorship in Saudi Arabia, my close personal friends, where would they be if Iran started selling cheap oil? No, that can't happen. We'll sanction them first and when they're good and starved, we'll nuke them.

Q: This doesn't seem to be working, when can we get out of there?

A: Are you kidding? I havn't even gotten the full force IN there. We're never leaving... at least, not in your lifetime. What's a few casulties when my friends are making BILLIONS?

Q: China is screwing us and you're helping it happen, why?

A: My friends are making shitloads of cash at the same time that China makes cash. Don't rock the boat. Besides, as I said before, the middle class is going to be liquidated, get used to it.

Q: You were warned before the Iraq war that it would create more terrorists and make us all less safe, why did you do it?

A: That is true, but you should be scared scared scared scared scared. The terorists terrorists terrorists will get you. They'll kill your kids! Don't forget September 11th, 9/11, you know... if you ask any more questions like that it'll happen again, just like Rudy said.

Q: Even the Iraqi government wants us out of there...

A: Nobody alive now will live long enough to see us leave. There is profit for the corporations and we're going to reap it. But remember, we'll all die if we leave.

Q: Nobody believes you anymore.

A: I'll keep saying it until they do."

From there he pretty much ran rough shod over all the questions, except the ones tossing up balls he wanted to hit. Basically, he worked the press like a pinball machine, and through them, the American public. And they call him stupid? Again, I laugh.

Anyway, that's my summary. My first post back, a bit foreshortened, but I need to dig into what our illustrius congress is doing over the holiday.

In the end, Bush did us a favor. He exposed the congress for what they are... paid by the same folks he himself is and working for the same ends. All of it is to the detriment of the American people.

There was a clear message sent in the last election: Stop bush, restore liberties and end the war. Congress got the memo, but they choose to ignore it. Time to ask why and time to demand answers.

There's only one choice in the coming election: Ron Paul.

I'm back. Resurrecting this blog from the ashes of neglect like the proverbial Phoenix. My interest in the parapolitical has been renewed in large part due to Congressman Ron Paul's performance in the GOP debates and the fact that his message is resonating through the internet community. This gives some hope. People apparently do care about what's going on outside of American Idol and are willing to work for change. Ron Paul has injected truth into the national arena and sparked much needed debate on both foreign and domestic policy issues. That was long overdue. That this has been so well received has convinced me that all is not yet lost. For that alone Ron Paul has my vote, for his views on liberties and rights and restoring the power of the constitution, he has my admiration as well.

Somehow it is not making the english speaking channels, but Arabic news sources are saying that Saddam had escaped. Or... has been broken out. I don't know, the translation is not easy to understand. My Arabic is poor, from what I can gather though, the former dictator of Iraq escaped custody during the transfer between the U.S. and Iraqi guards. The Iraqi military may be involved. The president has just announced that Donald Rumsfeld is stepping down as Secretary of Defense. Should the (new) Senate confim him, Robert Gates, a former head of the CIA, will replace Rumsfeld. I must say, this is interesting news. Bush seems to be near to breaking down as he's giving this speach and for once the characteristic chimpanzee smirk has been wiped from his smug face. One wonders if this is some sort of olive branch outreach to the Democrats who have just siezed both the House and the Senate and now hold the power of congrssional investigation and subpoena. Thus Rumsfeld, the loyal soldier is taking the blame for his liege lord like so many others before him. I've never seen so many lackeys so willing to scapegoat themselves for such a bad leader, then again I've never seen anyone need so many scapegoats to take the blame for his own wrong doing as Emperor Bush. I'll close here to watch the rest of this press conference, I think Bush is near tears.

Ugh! There is so much going on right now I'm in a whirlwind of topics. Ignoring the fact that I am nursing an inopportune broken arm which is slowing me down, this touches on something I've been working on for quite some time now, a subject I find distasteful to research and even more distasteful to write about, however, I feel the need to draw attention to this subject now, since it has come into the public eye and may very will be covered up like so many other things have.

The fact of the matter is, the GOP is no longer the Grand Old Party, it is now the Greasy Old Pedophile party. This has already been reported by folks like Wayne Madsen and Ted Gunderson and has somehow been ignored by most media sources.

There is a MASSIVE PEDOPHILIA RING living and even thriving within the Republican Party... though it is not restricted to the GOP. Every evidence points to this as fact. It is so beyond coincidence that there can be no other rational conclusion. PLEASE, my fellow Real conservatives, those who hold dear familly values, take a look at what is going on. Take a look at who has ursurped our party and turned it on a wicked course. They are steering us for the rocks and someone HAS to knock them aside and set us on the strait and narrow again before it's too late!

I am begging and pleading... this IS the time for all GOOD men to stand up!

The 9/11 Truth Political Party

I think everyone can agree that the campaign to get the information out there to the people has been a resounding success thus far, the results to every poll are a testament to that.

Is it time to take the next step and start wielding some of the power this movement has accumulated? It is often said that senior citizens wield a considerable amount of political might in the United States. For the most part this is because they have numbers and they get out and vote, reliably and consistantly. While I think their power has somewhat decreased in recent years, there can be no doubt that political candidates make concessions to this power, and even at times go out of their way to mollify them, if for no other reason than through the fear that this voting bloc may come out in strength against them. I feel that the Truth Movement could rival this power and most likely excede it.

We certainly have the numbers on our side. Just look at any of the many online polls and you see the numbers... remember the Charlie Sheen poll? How about the 0wnage of the United 93 forums? Hell, check some net traffic reports or data on search terms, 9/11 Truth sites are some of the busiest out there. That's some serious numbers.

As important as the numbers is the motivation. I think this speaks for itself. Seriously, untold thousands of people burning and a distrubting tens of thousands of videos, spreading the word, protesting. Has any movement in history spread so far so fast?

There is something else we can bring to the table, something extremely powerful and something they want more than anything. The power to spread information like its never been spread before. The Truth Movement itself, its numbers and its widespread message, is living proof of this power. It is the ultimate grass roots movement and still gaining momentum all the time. This is internet power, and then some. I think it's time we harnessed this power and wielded it creatively and with devastating results.

Look at the current elections, they are being fought tooth and nail, every seat counts and the balance of power is in play, ready to be swayed by a concerted effort (by some group like us). What do you think politicians would promise for tens of thousands (or more) of votes? How about a lightning fast tried and true "get the word out" internet campaign? How about a negative campaign against their opponents, performed by some of the most stuborn dirt-digging researchers in the world? How about an instant rally, or protest, when and where needed (have sign will travel)? How much would that be worth to a candidate? I think a whole helluva lot. They are already spending tens of millions of dollars to reach less people in a much more inefficient and ineffective manner.

Oh sure, they're catching on to this whole 'internet thing' and some of them even know what they're doing, but really they're out of their element and they know it. So, that brings us to the question; What can they do for us?

Of course, I know we're a very diverse community and we do not all agree on many of what they try to tell us are 'key issues', and that's okay. I think we can put all that aside for the greater good and concentrate on the ones that bring us together. In fact, I have a strong feeling that many of these so-called 'key issues' are nothing more than an attempt to divide the people.

I say keep it simple, stick to the basics and those issues that are related, at least at first. On the main issue; We do NOT ask someone to commit political suicide by going on the record screaming 'Inside Job!' or anything like that. We back candidates that are for opening a new and truly independent investigation, an investigation that has carte blanche power to subpoena anyone or anything, as well as unlimited clearance to review any and all evidence as well as the power to compel cooperation.

As for the 'related' category, support could be given for those who are willing to help undo the damage done by this crime. Ending the ridiculous wars the phony 9/11 lies led to would be a start, as well as repealing the laws this phony war on terror has engendered and of course securing internet freedom that we may continue our campaigns unimpeded.

It's simple economics. We're giving them something they want and in return we're getting some results. Woe to those that don't live up to any bargains they make, for we will keep track and those who cross us will face our wrath. Using these same skills, honed in researching and engaging in information warfare, which are coveted by politicians, we will have the ability to ensure compliance of any promisses made or ensure the end of the careers of those who do not deal fairly with us.

As time goes by and our stength is realized by more of them, we can expand the issues we back and field our own candidates (some are already in the mix and deserve our support), possibly even think about founding our own political party. The time has never been more ripe for a third party.

In essence, I'm saying... we've grown some muscles here... lets flex them.

And for the nay-sayers, let me just address some things in advance. I know full well the political system is corrupted, and I know there is rampant election fraud and vote rigging going on. I know all about the whole false left-right paradigm. The fact is though, as can clearly be seen by anyone, there are factions within our corrupt system and between those factions are cracks... we can wriggle into those cracks and try to do something. Further, the more boots on the ground we get out there, the less believable any frauds will be and that alone could be enough to get the masses riled up and ready for change. Finally, if nothing else, because we will have exausted every possible remedy before it comes to outright rebellion and insurection, and in the battle which is sure to ensue after that, we will have the moral high ground.

The one and only reservation I have regarding this plan would be that it may well be too late. I feel there is a good chance that we may be looking at martial law and a complete police state takeover sometime in the next few weeks, especially on election day or perhaps following the next soon to come false-flag attack... if that is the case, to those who survive I will see you in the underground resistance my brethren. Still, it is as likely things will be drawn out further and in that case we should definitely be implementing this power, and now. It may still be possible to nip this in the bud and prevent the nightmare scenario.

If there is any chance at all, shouldn't we take it?

Thanks to a blogger we have this story, the mainstream media clowns seem to be ignoring it other than giving some periphery fire coverage.

I find this fire extremely suspicious myself. The building is listed as both empty and also as the HQ of the largest Army Intelligence unit in America. Weeks before Bush and his administration will possibly be facing sobpoenas and investigations, the warehouse which holds any incriminating evidence suddenly catches fire and burns uncontrollably? Can this even be real? Are we living in crazyworld?

Rumor has it that George W. Bush has purchased an extremely large tract of land in northern Paraguay. This source states:

Buenos Aires, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) An Argentine official regarded the intention of the George W. Bush family to settle on the Acuifero Guarani (Paraguay) as surprising, besides being a bad signal for the governments of the region.

Luis D Elia, undersecretary for the Social Habitat in the Argentine Federal Planning Ministry, issued a memo partially reproduced by digital INFOBAE.com, in which he spoke of the purchase by Bush of a 98,842-acre farm in northern Paraguay, between Brazil and Bolivia.

The news circulated Thursday in non-official sources in Asuncion, Paraguay.

D Elia considered this Bush step counterproductive for the regional power expressed by Presidents Nestor Kirchner, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Evo Morales, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro.

One wonders whether there was one purchase and both the particular George Bush in question and the acreage were mixed up or if each of them obtained a rather large tract of this land. George Sr taking 173,000 acres and George W. taking 98,842 acres. The combination of these two parcels would be utterly huge... a small country in itself practically. Ideal for an feudal estate or place of refuge for anyone fleeing prosecution.

There is much speculation that FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds who is being kept from speaking out has information tying together the global drug trade, the nuclear black market and the attacks of September 11th.

So, what do we have here? A bunch of unrelated tid-bits or something more sinister? The GOP being swept out of both the House and Senate is a foregone conclusion, despite a strategy trying to downplay this fact by the party itself. The reality is, they were going to lose control of congress before the recent round of scandals and now it's likely to be a nearly clean and total sweep. The Dems are aware of this but downplay it because the idea of 'certain victory' will of course discourage the lazy from voting. Quite simply, there is no way the GOP can retain control of either house and they will not have enough of their own voters turning out to make another diebold stolen election anywhere near believable. Further, while the Dems are keeping quiet about it, it is no secret that a huge pile of subpoenas is probably even now being prepared along with articles of impeachment and a massive sheaf of indictments.

The conspiracy theorist in me wants to connect these dots and come up with a possible scenareo. Something along the lines of:

Jenna is down there putting the final parts of the 'deal' together with the Paraguayan president. The U.S. army is down there securing the ranch and bunker complex, probably due to be relieved after the move by Blackwater and Dyncorp mercenaries. As soon as things turn sour and it starts looking like prison is a real option the entire Bush Clan will hightail it for this sanctuary where they will live in disgrace but still free. Bush Sr. will, of course, have to go also, because in the ensuing investigation of W and his neocon criminal empire there is bound to be enough stones uncovered to make prison for him a certainty as well. In exile they will enjoy wetting their beaks in the global drug trade which they helped keep alive and will have the security of sitting on the world's largest fresh water source, which will become increasingly valuable as global warming and catastrophic climate change, reports of which have been suppressed by Bush until it was too late, turns the planet into a water-starved wasteland. Eventually the leverage power conferred by controlling the ever dwindling supply of water will allow the Bush Clan to once again ascend and redeploy their dynastic dreams after their short tenure in exile. A bump in the road, if you will. Any outrage Americans have will need to be diverted to those of the criminal cartel left behind and not lucky enough to warrant an invitation to the new Paraguayan Bush Refuge, because in it's weakened state due to pointless global conflict started by the current administration and the coming collapse of the dollar, the U.S. will be in no position to exert its now limited power over other countries, especially considering BushCo, even in exile will have the backing of nation states which have benefitted by the Bush Criminal Enterprise such as Israel, the UAE and Saudi Arabia as well as the megalithic military-industrial-security-oil-pharma corporate monster.

Then again, maybe it's just good business sense... though that begs the question, why would someone who professes disbelief in global warming and catastrophic climate change invest a veritable fortun in water?

For the record, and this speculation aside, my prime projection is still for a false flag trigger event followed by martial law and the suspension of congress as well as the constituion.

I just saw this awesome new documentary which exposes the massive scale of election fraud going on in America today. It stars former Representative Cynthia Mckinney and tells her tale as well as that of the general story of vote rigging and the subversion of our democracy as a whole.

The story is a simple one really, both the 2000 and 2004 elections were stolen. This has been reported and veryfied before, however this documentary does a good job of collating the data and distilling it into an easily understood big-picture. I was already familiar with the ongoing Diebold fiasco, but this sheds light on some of the other less technical aspects of election fraud going on and those behind it. At one point I was rather disturbed to find that voting machines were removed on purpose, to increase lines and add frustration to those who were most likely to vote against the GOP, and not just here and there, it was systemic and wide reaching. Also, adding names to a 'felon' list by selection of race, people who had no criminal records at all, in order to keep them from voting was an eye opener. In essense, Bush was never elected president and the genocide he and his cronies are even today perpetuating worldwide in these unneeded conflicts should never have happened.

Cynthia Mckinney's story is both tragic and classic. She stood up for truth and what is right against evil power and brought down the wrath of that power. It's almost a David vs. Goliath tale, only this time Goliath won.

After standing up to Bush and his minions of evil, Rep. Mckinney was attacked relentlessly and brutally. First, through a strange loophole in election law, Republicans in her district crossed over and voted in a Democratic primary as Democrats to unseat her. How can this be legal? After that, and rather interesting in light of recent news, She was attacked on the issue of 9/11. The Republican politico war machine politicized the tragic events of that day and sicced their attack dogs on McKinney. Very noteworthy is the fact that the only thing McKinney did was pose the question 'Who knew what? and When?' and was ruthlessly savaged by the GOP and the press for asking that. As well all now know, thanks to Bob Woodwards book State of Denial: Bush at War, Part III, the administration DID INDEED HAVE FOREKNOWLEDGE OF A PENDING ATTACK BEFORE 9/11. So, where are these attackers now with their appologies to McKinney?

It's a pitty. We lost a patriot and hero when we lost Rep. Cynthia Mckinney. How many of those do we have left?

Is Obermann tempting fate with Tempting Faith?

Keith Olbermann is making a name for himself as an outspoken critic of Bush and his cohort of criminals. There has been some speculation about the reasons behind this. Perhaps he got the 'ok' from the powers that be and Bush is being tossed to the wolves. Perhaps he simply grew a backbone or just finally snapped. Some may say it's six years to late, but I'd say at least it's something. There is so little truth coming out of the mainstream media that any voice in a storm is a welcome one as far as I'm concerned. I wonder though, if he did not get the ok from above, if perhaps he's going to far by shedding light on the differences between the Neo Conservatives and the Christian Right. This hits the GOP with a double blow, where it really hurts; in the wallet and in the voting booth. It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out. Anyway, here are the videos.

The controversial book, Tempting Faith: An Inside Story of Political Seduction by David Kuo, former Deputy Director of the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, is due out this week and details the use and abuse of Evengelical Christians by some in the Bush administration, particularly Karl Rove.

This is certainly no news to me. I've long wondered about the dual nature of the Republican party. On one side you have the so called 'Neocons', who apparently are willing to do anything, including covering up pedophile activity among their own, as long as they get to continue feeding the war machine and shovelling the money of future generations into the pockets of the military-industrial-security-oil-pharma corporate hydra. On the other side, the 'Paleocons' who at one time stood for family values, small government and fiscal responsibility but have now been tainted by those who usurped their party.

It's strange, because the Neocons are small in number and it's no secret in Washington that they despise their Paleocon Christian 'cousins'. One would think that the real Conservatives would have woken up by now and either taken back their party or split off on their own. Perhaps it's only a lack of leadership that is keeping that from happening. Surely the people themselves are disgusted. Just the other day I was watching Washington Journal on C-Span and most of the Republicans who called in said they would not be voting at all in this election, out of disgust. There were also several callers who said they'd be voting Libertarian and even a couple who said they would vote Democrat.

I have to wonder how the Neocons plan to pull off their voter fraud this time without the boots on the ground to make a plausable case for some unbeknownst tsunami conservative of voter turnout.

I'd say this to those disillusioned and disenfranchised conservatives; is it not time to make a break, divest from what has become the 'party of death' and stand up for what you profess to believe in? In the modern era there has never been a riper time for a third party. The ball is in your court.

This video, entitled "Mystery of the Urinal Deuce" is causing quite a stir in the 9/11 truth movement. I think I've seen as many posts tearing it down as ones giving it a thumbs up. Apparently the site 911truth.org got hit pretty hard with traffick, as one of the characters on the show was wearing a t-shirt with that written on it and was featured fairly prominently. I find it a bit odd that only five years after the crime that changed the world forever it is now acceptable to use as a punch-line, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. Watch it yourself and make your own deceision. For me, I'm still holding out and hoping some sort of real investigation might eventually happen.

It's a simple concept really... you have users submit the content and also have users rate the content, thus all the top content is ensured to be well liked and in popular demand. All you have to do is sit back and thank God for such an opportunity to make something from nothing as the ultimate middleman. How did they screw that up?

I got into blogging a while ago, my work covers a wide variety of topics and my hobbies expand on that. I have several blogs and maintain quite a few web sites. Somewhere along the line, someome submitted one of my articles to Shoutwire and I started getting a lot of hits refered from there. I found the whole concept interesting and started submitting some articles myself... quite a few made the front page and generated a fair amount of hits. It was nothing extraordinary, but it seemed a good way to get news out that didn't usually reach people.

At one point, I noticed that some of my stories were disappearing off of shoutwire, which seemed strange because nearly ALL of the ones I submitted were getting a huge number of shouts. I chalked this up to stories simply being folded in at the time... soon I realized how wrong I was and that this was all due to censorship.

Looking back, it became quite apparent that the specific stories that were removed by the administrators of Shoutwire were done so for political reasons. Namely... any story critical of Israel, the Bush Regime or questioning the facts surrounding 9/11 were removed out of hand, completely ignoring the fact that these very stories were the ones generating the most 'Shouts'.

This fact was driven home when I submitted this
just before the five year aniversary of the 9/11 Attacks which forever changed our world. This post, once submitted started generating massive hits as well as massive Shouts. In mind boggling fashion, people were both viewing and Shouting this at the rate of hundreds and thousands per hour... for the few hours it lasted. That's right, only hours old and with tons of Shouts under its belt this post was sumarily dismissed by the Shoutwire administrators.

That of course is only one example, all through the Israel-Lebanon conflict I repeatedly submitted posts decrying the attrocities Israel was commiting upon Lebanon and they all were deleted in favor or pro-Israel news items which told nothing but lies.

Shoutwire of course has fought it's criticism, and made excuses for it's censorship, but not a single one of its arguments holds any water at all.

So, why will Shoutwire fail? Stupidity is the short answer. Look at the mainstream media for your example. American Idol out performs ALL NEWS STATIONS COMBINED and newspapers nationwide are scrambling to keep out of the red. Why is this? People KNOW when they are being played, they KNOW when they are being LIED to. It's not that they don't want news, it's that they want REAL NEWS. That's why more and more people are turning to the internet and the blogsphere for their news.

Somehow, Shoutwire started out as a good idea, promoting the free exchange of news and ended up as someone's personal political agenda. Why they thought they could get away with that while huge corporations in the mainstream are failing for just that same reason is beyond me.

With such a small market share, one has to be surprised they would take the censorship route, I mean they're competing with unrestricted services such as Digg, Reddit and now Netscape and Yahoo.

With an opportunity to stand out from the crowd as uncensored, unbiased, and completely user driven, why cave in the corporate elite? Alas, they did, and what it does is leave the gate open for a REAL news service to step in and take their place.

There is not going to be some savior from the Democratic Party. This whole idea of putting our hopes and energies into "leaders" who tell us to seek common ground with fascists and religious fanatics is proving every day to be a disaster, and actually serves to demobilize people.

But silence and paralysis are NOT acceptable. That which you will not resist and mobilize to stop, you will learn - or be forced - to accept. There is no escaping it: the whole disastrous course of this Bush regime must be STOPPED. And we must take the responsibility to do it. And there is a way. We are talking about something on a scale that can really make a huge change in this country and in the world. We need more than fighting Bush's outrages one at a time, constantly losing ground to the whole onslaught. We must, and can, aim to create a political situation where the Bush regime's program is repudiated, where Bush himself is driven from office, and where the whole direction he has been taking society is reversed. We, in our millions, must and can take responsibility to change the course of history. Acting in this way, we join with and give support and heart to people all over the globe who so urgently need and want this regime to be stopped.

This will not be easy. If we speak the truth, they will try to silence us. If we act, they will try to stop us. But we speak for the majority, here and around the world, and as we get this going we are going to reach out to the people who have been so badly fooled by Bush and we are NOT going to stop. The point is this: history is full of examples where people who had right on their side fought against tremendous odds and were victorious. And it is also full of examples of people passively hoping to wait it out, only to get swallowed up by a horror beyond what they ever imagined.

The nearer we approach the five year anniversary, the louder the fever pitched government propaganda gets. In the last couple weeks I've seen several so-called debunking articles come out which fail to address any of the very real questions I have regarding september 11th 2001 and the government of the United States. VIDEO: Lebanese Children Victims of Unexploded Cluster Bombs

CNN International's Jim Clancy, reporting from southern Lebanon, finds that unexploded munitions are taking the biggest toll on the Lebanese children. A nurse describes the child casualties she sees as "the new phase of the war." Clancy says that there is always a 10% failure rate among the small bomb-lets released from cluster bombs. The bombs dropped on Lebanon were old and have about a 40% failure rate.

Bomb search teams are scouring southern Lebanon but finding the "tens of thousands" of unexploded bombs will take time. Bombs that haven't already armed themselves can be easily destroyed but many others cannot even be touched. The bombs that are already armed can only be flagged and left for later.

In the wasteland of southern Lebanon, children gather up metal to sell. It's easy to mistake one of the small cluster bomb-lets for scrap. One child survivor recalls the bomb that put him in a hospital bed, "...my cousin picked up the bomb. It was shaped like a ball. It was an explosion. My insides fell out. I held them and started running and screaming."

Airport Insecurity a personal perspective

As may be noted by lack of recent entries, I'm travelling. The timing of this has given me a chance to note airport securty, and lack thereof, in the wake of the recent so called foiled UK terror plot. My flights had several layovers and I left the airport each time to grab a smoke so I got to experience the checkpoints in each airport.

The first thing so obviously noticable in all of the airports I passed through, was the recently added restrictions on liquids and gels. Drink containers were barred passed the first security checkpoint, but available for purchase inside the terminals, then again barred from being brought on the planes. The result of this was that there were half filled drink containers literally everywhere in the airport. All waste baskets and disposal bins were full, plastic bottles littered any available flat surface and were left discarded in bathrooms, kiosk areas and pretty much everywhere the eye could see.

Perhaps it was a combination of some not getting the memo regarding liquids and those who did and were thereby urged by a fear of dehydration, but the effect was that drink sellers in the terminals did huge buisness and the airports were a veritable plastic container graveyard. If I was not already awake to the fact that the vast majority of so called terrorism is actually created by governments themselves in order to limit freedoms, curtail civil liberties and justify huge budget expenditures for their patrons in the military-industrial-security "machine", I would have been petrified by this whole plastic bottle fiasco for two reasons:

First, the sheer numbers of liquid containers around the airports alone would make it that much easier for anyone with ill intent to smuggle them through security. Like the protective camoflage of a school of fish, the odd item could have easily been lost in the big picture.

Second, and more alarmingly, should a dangerous substance have been in any of these containers, what better place than to have it right there in the midst of the throngs in the airport? It seems a far better target than a single plane.

All that aside, I found airport security in general to be quite lackidazical, which in itself was a bit astonishing considering that as I flew, the UK airports were still on high alert and the US ones were a step below. In one airport, the screener couldn't be bothered to glance up from her conversation with a co-worker to check ID's as she reached out and initialled the boarding passes of shoeless sheeple shuffling nervously through through rope-maze chutes to the metal detector. I found myself wondering how my nervous, dehydrated and fidgety fellow passengers would fare in the upcoming biometric scanner outfitted checkpoints of the future.

This was the point when I noticed how many people were carrying laptops and remembered a story I'd just read on dell and possibly other manufacturers recalling laptops because of a danger of the batteries catching fire or exploding and this even affecting 50,000 military laptops. Don't many cell phones, PDAs, Digital Cameras and a variety of other personal electronics also have lithium batteries?

Ah well, at least the flights were uneventful. My first one, I ended up in the no-recline seat, so without that extended two-inch comfort zone I decided to play "spot the air-marshal" to pass the time. Once upon a time, you could spot a fed by their Andy Sioiwicz style attire, however these days it's just as likely that the cute ultra-cool hipster girl is actually an agent. They're slow but they do learn. Thus a more subtle method is needed. I looked for anyone unusually alert whilst trying to appear distracted. This bore no fruit because there were a dozen lookie-loos casting furtive glances all around the cabin, undoubtedly reliving the phony movie United 93 in their minds. Interestingly, this alertness by passengers themselves was the only real effect I saw from the high alert status. Most of these enthusiasts concentrated their glances at some dark skinned gentlemen travelling togther, until at one point they started speaking spanish to eachother. The air-militia seemed to breath a collective sigh of relief. I found this both sad and funny and ended up giving up my game.

Once again pondering the carry-on restrictions I had to laugh. A quick glance around the cabin showed me an arsenel that only a McGyver fan could truly appreciate. Surely the fire extinguisher, defribulator and drink-cart full of flamable alcohol posed more threats than anything a person could carry on themselves.

Finally I amused myself by poking around the misconfigured blue-tooth and ad-hoc wifi connections left open by my fellow passengers, which killed some time but ended up being not so interesting, as such unsecured connections tend to be.

In conclusion I felt no more or less safe than I did when flying before 9/11 or when I flew shortly after 9/11. I believe my earlier surmise was correct. The new measures are nothing more than an attempt to limit freedom, promote security budgets and bump poll numbers.

Don't get me wrong, there is certainly a very real danger of terrorism. The catch is, it's not coming from who THEY want you to think it is. The real danger would lie in a government sponsored false flag terror attack. Think about it for a moment. It's simple economics. Who gains from terror attacks? Certainly not those being blamed for them. Can these people be so crafty yet also so ignorant that the consequences work against them? I don't think so. Further food for thought, I cannot even remember the last terror plot, foiled or not in which some key player did not have ties to the CIA, MI6 or Mossad. These agencies are the overt-covert faces of the true Axis of Evil and they have no lack of programable patsy martyrs to blame their actions on, we make more every day.

To protect yourself from false flag terror attacks, you need to ask yourself when the powers that be have the most to gain from one. Recently they've been content passing off phony Osama tapes and phony plot foilings, but the effectiveness of these tactics is becoming less and less. Even the talking heads are starting to sneer. As this fear mongering loses power, it becomes more likely that a large event will be used, so it is time to be wary. I've heard that Alex "Bullhorn" Jones is predicting a major false flag event sometime in mid October. I would say that would be pretty good timing if someone wanted to project more warmongers into power in November.

Iranian President Mahmood Ahmadinejad starts blogging

The President of Iran has joined millions of other bloggers in the blogosphere. In his first post, Mahmood Ahmadinejad gives a fairly lengthy autobiography of himself, describing his early life, growing up in a poor family in a remote village of Garmsar, and some of the events in Iran as well as the Iranian-Iraqi war. He also uses this new pulpit to blast the U.S. or as he calls it, 'The Great Satan'. While I can't really blame him for decrying the United States and all it has done against Iran, such as backing Iraq against them and supplying Iraq with weapons of mass destruction (WMD's) and intel which it used to devastating effect against the Iranians, I must say I don't much care for Ahmadinejad's religious extremism, or really for that matter any religious extremism. I would probably give his chances as fairly slim for fighting a propaganda war in this fashion as he's going up against nearly 25,000 Israeli backed cyber propagandists who have already got him on their radar. If you want to check out his blog, it is available in Arabic, English, Persian and French here. One item there of note is a poll which asks the question: "Do you think that the US and Israeli intention and goal by attacking Lebanon is pulling the trigger for another word war?"

A better question might have been "Is religion the cause of all wars?"

Thousands Protest Mideast Policy at White House

On Saturday, a few thousand people gathered at the White House to support Lebanon and to call for a cease of hostilities. Protesters estimated "tens of thousands" but officials estimated that the crowd had less than 10,000 people.

Lebanese Americans lament the destruction of their homeland. Hundreds of Lebanese flags showed the crowd's solidarity with civilians who have been caught in the middle of fighting between Israel and the Hezbollah.

The ANSWER coalition along with The National Council of Arab Americans and the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation were the primary sponsors.

9/11 detailed flight info released to National Security Archive

As part of a Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) request, the National Security Archive has obtained from the NTSB, and released, detailed information on the doomed flights of 9/11.

A quote from their release notes:

Washington, DC - August 11, 2006 - The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) this week released full transcripts of the air traffic control recordings from the four flights hijacked on September 11, 2001, and meticulous Flight Path Studies for three of the flights, in response to a Freedom of Information request by the National Security Archive. The studies provide the most detailed technical information available to date related to the hijackings, and the transcripts of the aircraft-to-ground communications are the first complete government disclosure of each flight's air traffic control recordings.

Included in the report, in PDF format are files which contain transcripts of Air Traffic Control Recordings for all of the flights. Files here: American Airlines Flight 11, American Airlines Flight 77, United Airlines Flight 175, United Airlines Flight 93

While a reconstructed map of the path of United Flight 93 is conspiculously absent, the detailed specialists report provides a wealth of information on that particular flight.

All this should give conspiracy theorists a lot of data to pour over. Keeping in the source of this information, the NTSB is a government agency, the documents may have been "sanitized", however proof of that alone would indicate evidence of a coverup.

Coming on the heels of the 9/11 NORAD tapes being released to Vanity Fair and reports that the 9/11 comission found a coverup at the Pentagon one might speculate that certain parties "in the know" appear to be running for cover as the dam breaks on this entire 9/11 scandal and the truth starts pouring out. The camel's back may be breaking. Even Lou Dobbs is calling for a new 9/11 investigation.

I will post a detailed analysis of these documents after studying them. After just a brief perusal I can say right off the bat that from the transcripts of Flight 93 that there is a smoking gun here in that when the alleged "takeover" happened the flight was at 35000 feet and I quote "three-five-zero" which more than one study and test has already conclusively proven that in 2001 was WELL beyond the possibility of any cell phone calls being made. UK Terror Threat Level: Critical "Attack expected Imminently"

Breaking news. Britain raises it's Threat Level which is based on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Threat Advisory system to 'Critical' following arrests and the foiling of an alleged terrorist plot. According to reports from the Home Office, the plot involved explosives being carried on planes bound for the U.S. in carry-on luggage with the plan to detonate them in mid-flight. For the time being, the Department of Homeland Security has not raised the general Threat Advisory for the U.S. however it is raised to Red or Severe for air travel originating in Britain bound for the United States. Massive delays are already occuring in both U.K. and U.S. airports and are expected to last some time. The Department of Homeland Security has announced a press conference for 8:00AM EST this morning.

UK threat level increased to critical

The UK threat level has been increased to critical following the disruption of a major terrorist plot to target UK flights. The Department for Transport has issued important travel advice to anyone travelling from a UK airport.

Following this morning’s police action, security at all UK airports has been increased and additional security measures have been put in place for all flights.

With immediate effect, the following arrangements apply to all passengers starting their journey at a UK airport and to those transferring between flights at a UK airport.

All cabin baggage must be processed as hold baggage and carried in the hold of passenger aircraft departing UK airports.

Passengers may take through the airport security search point, in a single (ideally transparent) plastic carrier bag, only the following items. Nothing may be carried in pockets:

• pocket size wallets and pocket size purses plus contents (for example money, credit cards, identity cards etc (not handbags))
• travel documents essential for the journey (for example passports and travel tickets)
• prescription medicines and medical items sufficient and essential for the flight (eg, diabetic kit), except in liquid form unless verified as authentic
• spectacles and sunglasses, without cases
• contact lens holders, without bottles of solution
• for those travelling with an infant: baby food, milk (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger) and sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight (nappies, wipes, creams and nappy disposal bags)
• female sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight, if unboxed (eg tampons, pads, towels and wipes)
• tissues (unboxed) and/or handkerchiefs
• keys (but no electrical key fobs)

All passengers must be hand searched, and their footwear and all the items they are carrying must be x-ray screened.

Pushchairs and walking aids must be x-ray screened, and only airport-provided wheelchairs may pass through the screening point.

In addition to the above, all passengers boarding flights to the USA and all the items they are carrying, including those acquired after the central screening point, must be subjected to secondary search at the boarding gate. Any liquids discovered must be removed from the passenger.

There are no changes to current hold baggage security measures.

Regrettably, significant delays at airports are inevitable. Passengers are being asked to allow themselves plenty of extra time and to ensure that other than the few permitted items listed above, all their belongings are placed in their hold baggage and checked in.

These additional security measures will make travel more difficult for passengers, particularly at such a busy time of the year. But they are necessary and will continue to keep flights from UK airports properly secure. We hope that these measures, which are being kept under review by the government, will need to be in place for a limited period only. In light of the threat to aviation and the need to respond to it, we are asking the traveling public to be patient and understanding and to cooperate fully with airport security staff and the police.

If passengers have any questions on their travel arrangements or security in place at airports they should contact their airline or carrier.

The Home Secretary has made an official statement about this morning's major counter terrorist operation to quash a significant terrorist plot and the subsequent increase to UK threat levels.

'Overnight the police, with the full knowledge of Ministers, have carried out a major counter-terrorism operation to disrupt what we believe to be a major threat to the UK and international partners.

The police, acting with the Security Service MI5, are investigating an alleged plot to bring down a number of aircraft through mid-flight explosions, causing a considerable loss of life.

The police believe the alleged plot was a very significant one indeed.

At 2am this morning the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre raised the UK threat state to its highest level – “CRITICAL”.

This is now being publicly announced as I promised to Parliament last month.

This is a precautionary measure. We are doing everything possible to disrupt any further terrorist activity.

This will mean major disruption at all UK airports from today.

But as far as is possible we want people to go about their business as normal.

The police will provide an update on the operation later this morning and Ministers will keep the public regularly informed.'

At first I thought this was some sort of joke. Is one picture really worse than the other? Significantly? Supporters of Israel certainly seem to think so. Myself, I see the destruction of civilian buildings in both pictures. To me, this is akin to a wife-beater saying 'Yeah, but her black eye isn't really THAT bad'. What irony.

To further increase the fishy smell, my contacts have informed me that several massive alerts have gone out calling on to the network of Israeli-backed cyber-propagandists and all their volunteers to 'play this story up' as much as possible and 'emphasize that the media is against Israel'.

This is simply ridiculous. Anyone who has been following this conflict and has half a brain cell knows that the media bias has been massively and utterly pro-Israel thoughout. Very little slips by. The one chink in the armor seems to be indipendent reporting, mostly from bloggers in the war zone and the pictures of dead innocent Lebanese people showing the heatwrenching truth.

Pulling the attention to these particular pictures, doctored by someone with unknown allegiance only serves Israel's own interest. It distracts from the real horrors that Israel is inflicting on Lebanon. So, I ask who is Adnan Hajj and who is paying him? And more importantly, who benefits from this so obviously phony fiasco? The only benefactor I see is Israel, who get's to put on the 'Oh-poor-me' act as well as play the 'They're all against us' card.

The fact is, if someone wanted to shine a bad light on Israel, they could certainly have done a much better job than is seen in this example. Hell, they could have just shown the undoctored truth. And another question lingers... as we've all seen illustrated by Munich, wouldn't Mossad have just killed this fellow if he weren't working for their interests?

Something doesn't smell right in Denmark.

It's all about the content. This site has bucket fulls. With nearly 400 full length documentary movies and an extensive radio archive including those of Alex Jones and many other lumunaries as well as some hard to find audio and video clips on topics such as 9/11, election fraud, peak oil, depleted uranium, FEMA and RFID this place really covers it all, and it's all free and all streaming. For a place that's only been open four months, the sheer amount of content this site provides is mind boggling. It's a one-stop research shop for all things conspiracy related. Besides the extensive collection of streaming media which is available to guests, those that take a minute to register have access to a rather large forum base which covers a wide range of topics and one of the better online chat systems I've seen in a while. The news there is a mixture of user, admin and feed driven and extremely timely, I've seen several breaking stories appear there before many larger sites get wind of them, this alone makes the site worth a visit. Overall, I give the site a thumbs up and will be keeping an eye for it to explode into one of the premier conspiracy sites in a near future. For anyone interested in the illuminati, new world order, government coverups, 9/11, and Truth this site is a must see.

The washington post is running an article today uncovering some disturbing evidence that the official 9/11 Comission found a coverup by the Pentagon and others of the events that really happened on September 11th 2001. From the article:

Some staff members and commissioners of the Sept. 11 panel concluded that the Pentagon's initial story of how it reacted to the 2001 terrorist attacks may have been part of a deliberate effort to mislead the commission and the public rather than a reflection of the fog of events on that day, according to sources involved in the debate.

"We to this day don't know why NORAD [the North American Aerospace Command] told us what they told us," said Thomas H. Kean, the former New Jersey Republican governor who led the commission. "It was just so far from the truth. . . . It's one of those loose ends that never got tied."

"I was shocked at how different the truth was from the way it was described," John Farmer, a former New Jersey attorney general who led the staff inquiry into events on Sept. 11, said in a recent interview. To be clear, the Red Cross has found that there were NO Hezbollah missiles fired from Qana. This is in direct conflict with Israeli released video allegedly showing missiles fired out of Qana which are rumored to have not been taken in Qana and may not even be footage of the current conflict at all.

How anyone can laugh and dance when it is obvious that innocent civilians, some of them children, are being slaughtered is completely beyond me. Perhaps these people themselves were indoctrinated as kids like the girls from here. It seems a vicious and never ending cycle and it can only be stopped where it begins, with the children...

Those weaned on hatred are bound to perpetuate the cycle. Israel is rather fond of pointing out that it is here and it is here to stay, perhaps it needs to realize that Arabs, their cousins and neighbors, are also here to stay and they need to learn to coexist in peace. This of course will begin with the children, who will be the inheritors of the world. Shall we leave them a world of perpetual war or a utopia? Choose wisely and end the violence.

And for those who have sent me so much mail, sometimes hateful and even threatening, accusing me of being biased, a terrorist sympathizer and an anti-semite, I would point out to you, Israel has NO NEED of my help. As anyone who has watched this story unfold knows, Israel was prepared far in advance, not only militarily, but also with propaganda and spin ahead of time and launched it simultaneously with their attacks. Thanks to Google News this is easily verified by checking the news by date ranges. Further, Israel has an army of cyber soldiers in place rabidly attacking any non-pro-Israeli articles that come across their path. All this and still the world is outraged at the slaughter of innocents by Israeli forces. So no, I do not feel the need to tell the Israeli side of this story, for they've already got that pretty well covered. It is the innocents in Lebanon who need someone to speak for them.

I would call on the people of Israel to stop the atrocities now. There is a point where governments can be blamed for their wrong doing, yet there is also a point where the people themselves have to be held accountable for not standing up to their own government and putting a stop to it. Don't let us get to that point, please.
